TRUST GOD AND CHILL!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5)

Hi people, it's being a while

I've heard the phrase 'Trust in God' like a one billion and one times now. And I've had opportunities to even encouraged a number of people with it.....'Trust in God' flying around like birds... But are we really chilling in the process of trusting in God?  By chilling i mean being rest assured that God is there for you and working it out and you don't have to fear. It is so easy to utter it out of our mouths but most of the times not supported by our actions.

I know already that when i've got that big challenge or trial before me i should trust God for perfect solution.... 'I'll trust in God' i say to myself.  But then do I really trust God as much as i declare?  Do I really allow Him have His way without wanting to interfere with what HE is doing in the process of trusting Him? Don't I just sometimes even dictate to God what the aftermath of the trusting in Him should look like?

Well, physically, when people see me, i look like i can still keep on trusting God, but right in my mind am thinking about a backup plan in case different from God's plan. I'm keeping this to myself mostly, am not telling nobody..... this is my 'well planed solution'. But God can see clearly everything that goes on in our hearts. First of all... this has being a problem to me that i can't figure out. And even my so called planned out solution will flop since i have decided to let God out of my business by not letting Him have His way throughout. As long as we are humans, we can't even figure out what is good for us in the next days to come if God does not help us.He knows what is best for us at every phase of our lives. A bigger reason why nobody should even think of distrusting God!

Most times even in our so called 'trusting God' instead of totally leaving everything in HIS hands to work out, we hand over half of it to Him and the other we want to deal with it, depriving ourselves of the joy (chill) that should come after totally trusting in God
The Bible says "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and i am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will i praise Him"(Psalm 28:7)

"He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord" (Psalm 112:7)

"They that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou Lord hast not forsaken them that seek thee"(Psalm 9:10).

Trusting totally in God helps us focus on Him and give Him all glory afterwards.
"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory for your steadfast love and your faithfulness!"
It is important that i mention that we put all our trust in God so that when the victory comes too we will be sure to give Him all the glory that He deserves. You see, the  moment we start distrusting Him (consciously or unconsciously) by still putting our hands in what should solely be God's business, (by seeking counsels outside of what God is saying, thinking in our own head how the aftermath should look like, having backups and everything one could think of), we are already depriving Him of all the glory that should be His! It is just like having a team work with God when you don't totally surrender every of those problems to Him..... You're simply sharing your problems between God and you and your backup, and when the problems are solved, a part of you will be praising yourself, the backup plan and  the remaining praise we give to God (that is if we are even generous enough in our thoughts at that moment to remember to give HIM that 'half praise') That's the moment we tell ourselves "if not because I read my books well" if not because I did this and that" instead of "if not for God"  I've found myself sometimes not totally trusting God with everything but when i finally allow the fact that God is everything I will ever need and  that He is 'my very present help in times of need' soak well into me, i cannot but trust Him all the way. When i understood that outside of God, there is nothing done that  is done. I begin to totally trust in Him without any form of doubt.

It is high time we start giving God all the glory for everything in our life and we start this by first trusting Him enough to allow Him do what ONLY HIM can do in our lives.Trusting in God will help you  give God all the glory at all times and to constantly be at peace even in the midst of adversities.

At this point I'll like to relate a story to us..... Gideon and his men (Judges 7:5-7)
5.So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.

6. And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.

7. And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place

This was a test of how much these men trusted God to help them conquer the battle they were embarking on. And to know how many of them would end up praising their prowess after the victory (Judges 7:2b).  Some of them bent down with their head in the water drinking while the others scooped the water in their hand drinking. I want you to picture along with me how this scenario was...... Surely those that scooped with their hands would have their weapons down somewhere for them to be able to use their hands, while those that bent with their mouth dipped directly in the water will still have their weapon of war in their hands. This is significant in that those that used their hand never trusted in their weapon, they put their trust in God...... they were peacefully chilling without any backup plans out of their own thinking or manipulations. It is definitely depicting that they have it somewhere at the back of their minds that 'A mightier one' than their weapon is protecting them. Whereas, the other set of men ..... holding firm to their weapon are simply passing across a message that they trust in their weapon. Yes, they were still aware of the promises of God to protect and grant them victory, but they still hand their weapons as their back up plan. The Bible never said with God and my back up plan..... it says with GOD (only) all things are possible. What other back up plan do we need if not God?  These are the set of people that'll will say afterwards "if not because I was with my weapon"..... praising their prowess already instead of glorifying God! And God had to order Gideon to dismiss them while keeping the first set of men.

Trusting in God is simply sealing the promises of God in our lives. The bible says: "For i know the thought i think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end" (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are having a backup plan in your mind  or through your actions apart from God , you're simply dismissing God's promises over your life. And that is how a lot of times with the disbelief in our hearts and declarations we sometimes delay the fulfillment of all that promises in our lives.

Trusting in God helps us avoid the disappointment that comes from man
Any man can naturally let us down no matter how massive our expectation has being.  The bible says; "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no help"(Psalm 146:3).  Most of the times, man never fulfill the promises they make. For instance someone promised me capital to start a business, and just couldn't fulfill it, i'll definitely feel dejected and disappointed, robbing me of the confidence am supposed to have in God (Psalm 118:8). I've already trusted man too much and he let me down. But If we actually let trusting God be part of us, we won't be surprised at how disappointing man could be, since at first, we were not looking up to any man for anything, so we won't be dejected in anyway. The Lord is our helper, our shield, our very present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1), even when every other person we know turn their backs against us, He never leaves us, so why won't you trust Him

Trusting in God when we are tried by one challenge or the other does not necessarily mean the challenge will disappear, but that His grace will carry us throughout that trial (2 Corinthians 12:9) and we'll come out of it successfully and stronger too. Just like in the days of the three brothers Shedrach, Meshach, Abednego in Daniel 3. They basically chilled in the fire Nebuchadnezzer set for them. They went through fire trusting that God will be with. And God did. They basically chilled in the fire. God was with them because their trust in Him was really strong and firm. GOD has never let His own down and He won't start that today!

Finally, trust in GOD because He does not think like man or do things in our own ways. He is higher than we are, He is SUPREME and SOVEREIGN! and knows what is good for us at a time or not. Even if most times in our heads we want to form sabi sabi and we've laid out that perfect plan (we think) for us.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts". (Isaiah 55:8,9).
Again, know that God is never late or to early to attend to our needs, He has the perfect timing for you and me. He is always there just at the right time. (Habakkuk 2:3). Even though you think God is taking too much time to attend to that need, i want to assure you that He is perfect with His timing and never runs late! You just keep on trusting and chilling in His presence.

I pray that if we have not being trusting GOD enough, He will help us to constantly do so, Amen!

STANDING FOR THE RIGHT.

Do the right things even if you're among the minority One time or the other in our lives we've made decisions basically because we have realized that we were previously wrong and had to make everything right. Now making it all right does not come without a price/ prices to pay for it. This is the part so many people don't want to talk or hear about and that is why most people just turn back from making that right decision they ought to. Here is a little story :         A young orphan, Mark struggled his way through to the university with the little jobs he did, he supported himself and was doing fine. All of  sudden he was dismissed from the job and couldn't fend for himself anymore. He had to l ive on what friends gave him. He had a clique of friends that were richer than him and it seems like he was their errand boy whenever he is around them. But he didn't really care about that, he was carried away with paying his school fees, feeding and getting a new job

NOT A STRAIGHT COURSE BUT BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose".  Romans 8:28 A straight course is not always the shortest distance between where we are and where we want to be.  It 'might' be another short distance to  confusion or probably destruction. Although we have our lives all planed out and we just work in line with it. But really it doesn't happen that way most of the time. There has to be some points God displaces our plans and replaces it with His. Trust me it doesn't seem like what we want at first but at the end all those interruptions from God into our lives work together for our good. Therefore having it at the back of our minds that 'our ways and thoughts are not His' will help us work more with God, trust Him and with high hopes pull through any challenging phase of our lives. Allowing God interrupt our straightway is also building humility in us. Humilit

BRAGGY BAG OF TALENTS.

This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. Jeremiah 9:23 NLT Everyone has his/her own talents, abilities, empowerment in the right measure as deposited in them by God. And I know we even endeavor to learn more about others that attracts our interests. In fact we almost wants every empowerment God has to offer us. We even pray to God to add more talents to you or help you fully perfect the ones you have. Yeah that's good. It's okay that we desire all of these good things. But what are your aims. I mean after you get all these things what do you consciously or unconsciously (sometimes) do with them. A boastful person is perceived as restless, immodest, impatient, vainglorious, egotistical, proud to mention a few, but these piece will address some of it. So, here we go;       If we really dig deep into people's heart and find out why they want some things so much
