THE WISE ONE.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE, BUT FOOLS DESPISE WISDOM AND INSTRUCTION.

Good day everyone. Today i will be talking on a topic which probably looks so simple but in reality it cuts across everything. This is something so crucial to our lives that we might be misled if we don't have it. It is necessary in our relationships with people, our own businesses and with God Almighty.
Wisdom is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight.
Now, let's split the definition of wisdom into fragments: we have 1. The ability to think and act.
         2. experience
         3. understanding.

Let's start from the 'Experience' aspect. This is gotten when you have been through a particular situation and you now know how to deal with it if such situation arises again. An example is a student that was thought a mathematical calculations by his teacher and maybe didn't get it at first but after few trials got it at last. If such problem is brought before him another time, he will be able to solve it. He has gone through the a teaching and self learning period, and now he has the wisdom to encounter whatever similar problem. Now, what does this say to us..... that we have to get this wisdom from the Greatest and Wisest teacher that will not only teach us how to deal with one aspect of our lives but all of it. When you want a particular commodity, you get the best for yourself, right? All you have to do is ask from God and it shall be given unto you(James 1:5). Well, that is not all, you have a part to play in this too, you have your Bible , pick it up and read..... every of the knowledge and wisdom we need has been encrypted into that Holy book by God's inspired people. This is a direct wisdom from above, directly from God himself that He lovingly provided for us and wants everyone to have knowledge of it. You have to get yourself acquainted with the word of God because it is the purest, most peaceable you will ever gain for yourself. One has to cultivate that habit of eagerness to learn and learning it in reality. Just as a good student gets the knowledge from his teacher, he was eager to learn, that was why he went at first, and then he gets home and study whatever he learnt for that day. He does this day by day and before you know it.... he is full of this wisdom and knowledge and can now teach it to others. That's great, isn't it? Same way we all 'need' to wait before the Lord to teach us (either through our Pastors, church meetings, or people around us that are filled with the word of God). Then after that, we practice it on and on as circumstances warrant and it becomes a part of us already and we are even able to pass this knowledge across to others, that is taking hold of every opportunity you have to tell people about GOD. And i promise you whoever you impart with that wonderful knowledge will be happy with you and you will be happy too for making another person happy (Prov 3: 13).

Now Understanding is the ability to deal with a situation by thinking properly about it and picking from a 'pool of knowledge' the appropriate measures to go about it. Yes pool of knowledge , because one can't even understand a thing if you don't have the ability to analyse it properly to be able to face it. And to be able to analyse a thing to the knowledge of everyone listening to you, you need your knowledge to be on a higher scale.... you need the best form of learning... which is gotten from the word of God, the Holy Bible. I said earlier that after gaining all this knowledge you get to the point of teaching others just as you were thought. Well you can't do this if you don't understand what you've learnt. With understanding you even get bolder in disseminating your messages to your audience, you have more charisma (Ecclesiastes 8:1).... of course you learnt from the Best teacher that gives the greatest wisdom (proverbs 2: 6). And sometimes you study the word of Bible, or listened to the Preacher's message and you don't seem to get it, it only just meant you have not paid enough attention and you need to be patient with yourself (Jeremiah 33:3).This is not the time to forget about that particular difficulty and go for something else. It is not a school work where you can choose to leave some behind and study the rest. It is the word of God .... every bit of it is for us to understand according to how God will reveal it to us. When one continues this way, you are able to do everything GOD wants and shun evil no matter how enticing it presents itself. You totally become a new man from what you used to be before to that God- pleasing soul He wants us all to be.

Theoretically, our thoughts dictates how we act probably.... not all of it but it takes a greater percentage of your actions. Well that's okay but the problem comes in when your thought has to be scrutinized. Assuming our minds can be seen so clearly and every of our thoughts are out there for people to see , and whosoever has got bad thought would have a black mind and the one with the good thought will have a beautiful mind. What fills your thoughts? what are they composed of? Good or evil? Most of the times when we allow the devil to rule our thoughts, it becomes our source of temptation, we fall into it's dictates... thereby going into sin which displeases God (James 1:14-15). How then do we not allow the devil rule our thoughts? By being totally filled with HIM.... with every of HIS characteristics - holiness, righteousness, purity, love, peace, faithfulness and so on. Imagine a bottle filled with oil to the brim, it won't be possible to fill it with another substance without creating space in it by spilling some of the oil. So also, it will be impossible for the devil to gain entrance into our thoughts, lives if we have not first of all spilled out what the good features God has deposited in us by allowing sin(no matter how minute it may seem to us) into our lives. This is where being on our guard comes to play..... i mean praying to God to continually uphold us and teach us every second of our lives because we are not powerful enough to help to that all alone (1 Chronicles 16:11)

Now, who is a wise man? I hope you can answer that yourself and check within yourself if you are one. I pray God will help us to be wise in Jesus name. Amen!

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time because the days are evil. Wherefore be yet not unwise, but understanding what the will of the LORD is" (Ephesians 5: 15-17).

STANDING FOR THE RIGHT.

Do the right things even if you're among the minority One time or the other in our lives we've made decisions basically because we have realized that we were previously wrong and had to make everything right. Now making it all right does not come without a price/ prices to pay for it. This is the part so many people don't want to talk or hear about and that is why most people just turn back from making that right decision they ought to. Here is a little story :         A young orphan, Mark struggled his way through to the university with the little jobs he did, he supported himself and was doing fine. All of  sudden he was dismissed from the job and couldn't fend for himself anymore. He had to l ive on what friends gave him. He had a clique of friends that were richer than him and it seems like he was their errand boy whenever he is around them. But he didn't really care about that, he was carried away with paying his school fees, feeding and getting a new job

NOT A STRAIGHT COURSE BUT BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose".  Romans 8:28 A straight course is not always the shortest distance between where we are and where we want to be.  It 'might' be another short distance to  confusion or probably destruction. Although we have our lives all planed out and we just work in line with it. But really it doesn't happen that way most of the time. There has to be some points God displaces our plans and replaces it with His. Trust me it doesn't seem like what we want at first but at the end all those interruptions from God into our lives work together for our good. Therefore having it at the back of our minds that 'our ways and thoughts are not His' will help us work more with God, trust Him and with high hopes pull through any challenging phase of our lives. Allowing God interrupt our straightway is also building humility in us. Humilit

BRAGGY BAG OF TALENTS.

This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. Jeremiah 9:23 NLT Everyone has his/her own talents, abilities, empowerment in the right measure as deposited in them by God. And I know we even endeavor to learn more about others that attracts our interests. In fact we almost wants every empowerment God has to offer us. We even pray to God to add more talents to you or help you fully perfect the ones you have. Yeah that's good. It's okay that we desire all of these good things. But what are your aims. I mean after you get all these things what do you consciously or unconsciously (sometimes) do with them. A boastful person is perceived as restless, immodest, impatient, vainglorious, egotistical, proud to mention a few, but these piece will address some of it. So, here we go;       If we really dig deep into people's heart and find out why they want some things so much
