Positioned for a Purpose

Your position is not your purpose, what God want you to do with it is your purpose. It mainly a platform for its fulfillment

That position is only a tool (a needed one I must say) to help you facilitate the purpose of God. He is not interested in putting you in positions for position sake. No! He definitely want you to do something with it . He has placed a profitable ripple effect of that position inside the purpose, which if we fail to realize and do, we will not be fulfilling His will.
When we talk about positions, minds mostly think the financially buoyant, statesmen, title holders etc. Not at all. We are all specifically positioned somewhere  (location or status wise) and we must be useful for God there. Understanding this helps us to grasp the fact that we don't need to be the richest, highest, most popular and so on before fulfilling purpose.

Let's see John the Baptist in Matthew 3.  The bible described where he resides, his cloth and his meals. He eats locusts( I usually think of him having locusts beans each time i read this, lol) and wild honey, lives in the forest, and wears a camel hair cloth. He didn't have the decent clothing, food and house, but guess what I am so envious of Him! He fulfilled his purpose. His purpose was to prepare Jesus for His ministry through baptism. To commission that great move of God to the world. In the process his eyes and ears were opened, he saw the Holy Spirit as a dove, he heard God! He saw and heard wonder of all wonders! If that isn't one of the greatest thing to happen to a man while fulfilling purpose, I don't know what is.

"And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey""Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?  And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" Matthew 3:4‭, ‬13‭-‬17 KJV

That wilderness was the location and position (John was positioned there by God) for that purpose. You might be in your own wilderness right now. You feel there is nothing special about you. You're just in one quite place doing your thing. You may think you lack resources or know-how that will help you fulfill your purpose because of where you are positioned right now. That is not true, you have what it takes to fulfill God's purpose in your own niche. See, let me tell you, no matter how wilderness like things get, find the purpose for it and let that knowledge drive you to fulfill it. Do what you are doing with such knowledge of purpose and be so in tune with God, and nothing can stop you. And like John the Baptist, you will partner with God to bring his will to pass!

Let's see Joseph (Genesis 37, 39, 40, 41 Make sure you read it). He was a slave boy (that is a position, not his purpose) but he knew his purpose, which was for political, economic and business leadership strategies in today's terms. He wasn't deterred by that slave tag on him, instead, he fulfilled that leadership purpose even in that position. Even when he became a prisoner, he was still fulfilling purpose. Every position brought him a level of purpose to fulfill, and every fulfilled purpose took him to a higher position. He became a Prime minister who saved the nation of Israel from dying of famine. He preserved God's people, he preserved the lineage of Christ!
What I am saying here is, you know what purpose God has for you to fulfill. Start now, even that position you are in right now or that possession has purpose written all over it.

Of course rich and comfortably positioned are not left out of fulfilling purpose. Joseph of Arimathea was a rich man, property owner (including tombs), well connected, friends with Pilate. He used his connection to acquire the body of Jesus, and also gave him a befitting burial in a new tomb he owned.

"When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:  He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.  And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth" Matthew 27:57‭-‬59 KJV

He definitely perceived his position at that time was for that purpose, and he fulfilled it. There might have been many other rich and well connected men like him then, but he was different. He fulfilled a purpose, and also a prophecy! Everything God has given you access to including but not limited to time, gifts, talents, money, properties, business and academic achievements, titles and connections are platforms to fulfill God's  greater purpose.

Now, there is no gender discrimination with God. Male or female, we are expressions of the the various nature of the same God. Being a female should not limit the fulfillment of your God-ordained purpose. You would be making a huge mistake if you tune down your purpose just because you have XX chromosome, you are called a weaker vessel or don't have a bass voice. Do not make that mistake God has deposit a lot inside you and much is expected from you. Have you read about Deborah, Esther, Mary (Martha's sister).

Lets talk about Queen Esther in Esther chapters 2 to 8. She was about to miss her purpose of saving the nation of Israel from mass extermination because of fear, timidity and ignorance, but thank God Mordecai fulfilled his own purpose (you see that) of informing, challenging and persuading her. And she did! Note the peace, courage and wisdom from God she applied while she was strategically executing her plans of saving her people. Fear of the king or even Haman had gone! She was very astute as to what must be achieved. She could choose to only enjoy all the chauffeur, comfort, niceties that comes with her position and not really paid attention to its purpose, Mordecai could decide to carry his position of Baba Olori (Queens father) on his head and 'enjoyed his life', paying no attention to the purpose at all and they will both not be doing wrong by human perception, but will that be fulfilling purpose? No. They both saw that position as a platform to fulfill a higher purpose and greatly harnessed it.

Do not just celebrate or sulk over your earthly position without discovering the purpose for them. Either you call it low or high position, there is a purpose for it.
Nations are waiting for you to fulfill purpose someone's destiny is tightly knitted to the fulfillment of your purpose even at this moment and this position in your life, may you not disappoint God!
May we not disappoint God!

So far you've read, you will realize I never said your own personal purpose, which is what you feel should be done with that position. No.  We must do what God wants if we will perfectly fulfill purpose. It has a lot to do with God's bigger picture than yours. And that is the whole essence of man, to partner with him in everything. I consider it a great honor that God, I mean the Almighty One decides to partner with us man to do great and mighty things! And I am so grateful. Are you?

Are you doing all the good, great, and wonderful things for humanity right now with your position, great! But that's not really it, if you are doubtful about it's specificity according to God's will for your life, please go back to him, saying you want to do rightly what He purposed for you to do, then watch Him answer you, and even bless you with more grace, resources as you truly walk in your purpose.
I'd like you to take note that positions change, so also your purpose or how to fulfill it might change as a result. Make sure to always ask your Father the question "What is the Purpose of this Position".

I'm curious. Where are you positioned now? What do you have in your possession? Are you utilizing them for God's greater purpose?

I hope this blessed and challenged you
Thanks for reading
God bless your sweet souls!

STANDING FOR THE RIGHT.

Do the right things even if you're among the minority One time or the other in our lives we've made decisions basically because we have realized that we were previously wrong and had to make everything right. Now making it all right does not come without a price/ prices to pay for it. This is the part so many people don't want to talk or hear about and that is why most people just turn back from making that right decision they ought to. Here is a little story :         A young orphan, Mark struggled his way through to the university with the little jobs he did, he supported himself and was doing fine. All of  sudden he was dismissed from the job and couldn't fend for himself anymore. He had to l ive on what friends gave him. He had a clique of friends that were richer than him and it seems like he was their errand boy whenever he is around them. But he didn't really care about that, he was carried away with paying his school fees, feeding and getting a new job

NOT A STRAIGHT COURSE BUT BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose".  Romans 8:28 A straight course is not always the shortest distance between where we are and where we want to be.  It 'might' be another short distance to  confusion or probably destruction. Although we have our lives all planed out and we just work in line with it. But really it doesn't happen that way most of the time. There has to be some points God displaces our plans and replaces it with His. Trust me it doesn't seem like what we want at first but at the end all those interruptions from God into our lives work together for our good. Therefore having it at the back of our minds that 'our ways and thoughts are not His' will help us work more with God, trust Him and with high hopes pull through any challenging phase of our lives. Allowing God interrupt our straightway is also building humility in us. Humilit

BRAGGY BAG OF TALENTS.

This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. Jeremiah 9:23 NLT Everyone has his/her own talents, abilities, empowerment in the right measure as deposited in them by God. And I know we even endeavor to learn more about others that attracts our interests. In fact we almost wants every empowerment God has to offer us. We even pray to God to add more talents to you or help you fully perfect the ones you have. Yeah that's good. It's okay that we desire all of these good things. But what are your aims. I mean after you get all these things what do you consciously or unconsciously (sometimes) do with them. A boastful person is perceived as restless, immodest, impatient, vainglorious, egotistical, proud to mention a few, but these piece will address some of it. So, here we go;       If we really dig deep into people's heart and find out why they want some things so much
